About
Emma van Halsema is a visual artist and fabricator living in Portland, OR working primarily as a set dresser in Stop Motion Animation. She graduated UNC School of the Arts School of Filmmaking in 2013 with a BFA in Production Design. She moved to Georgia to work in Film & TV before moving permanently to Portland to pursue a career in Stop Motion Animation. Emma has worked on projects such as AMC’s The Walking Dead, Jordan Peele & Henry Selick’s Wendell & Wild, and on the upcoming LAIKA Studios fantasy epic Wildwood.
Painting and sharing her love for miniatures is what personally drives her. She has been a part of various group and solo shows in Portland, OR showcasing her art and is always on the lookout for new opportunities.
